The Comic’s Choice Awards™ is a vast and complex process, designed to keep things simple… while the show is being planned and the print, television and digital campaigns are being executed – we are glad to announce that 96 professional Comics have registered this year. This is an excellent majority for purposes of finding out what the industry thinks democratically.

After an exciting week or two, Tumi Morake took her new son home from hospital this week. Rumours around his health were squashed, and the two are in perfect health. Rumours of Vlismas sneaking into the ward to check the baby’s skin tone have also subsided after it surfaced that video footage of the incident was erased by mistake.

Besides that, the new addition is said to be part of Ghanaian Royalty, provided his father is in fact movie star dad, Mpho.

In the same month, Nik and Dr Rabinowitz have also had a child, and, given the huge number of Muslims currently on earth, not just a family affair, but a matter of national importance.

Congratulations to both clans. Now back to work, private schools cost more than university.

The Lyric Theatre continues to deliver high-value solo stand-up comedy, with .38 Special leaving a sold out crowd thrilled, if Twitter and Facebook are to be believed. With metal band, K.O.B.U.S playing live, pyrotechnics and dancing Suicide Girls – the show opened to a wild Friday crowd, ahead of the Saturday taping for both a DVD and Comedy Central Special.
